Thousands of schools will be forced to dig deep to foot the bill for teachers' bonuses

Their collective agreement deal includes a one-off 15-hundred dollar payment for all union members.
But a letter from Novopay reveals schools that directly employ additional teachers, are responsible for paying them.
NZEI campaigns director Stephanie Mills says the majority of schools will be affected.
She says it's particularly hard for small schools on small budgets.
