Lydia Ko's parents have a lot to answer for in a case of unbelievable ignorance

That's the assessment of the Kiwi golfer's former coach David Leadbetter after her dismal performances at the British Open and Evian Championship.

Ko missed the cut at both majors with scores of 12 over and eight over par and she's slipped to 23 in the rankings.

Leadbetter coached Ko to her three major championship wins and after three years apart says he would help her again if she made her own decisions.

He says he's angry and sad because he knows what she's capable of doing and it's very sad to see.
