Black Caps preparing for play every day in 1st test against Sri Lanka despite weather forecast
The weather forecast isn't great but the Black Caps are preparing for play every day in the first cricket test against Sri Lanka in Galle
14 August 2019
The tour comes towards the end of the Monsoon season and it has rained for all but two days since New Zealand arrived in the sub continent.
Rain has disrupted New Zealand's build up to the first match in Galle , with just one day of play possible during a warm up match north of Colombo.
Wicketkeeper BJ Watling says the covers have been on at the ground, but it'll be nice and dry once they come off.
Play is due to start at 4-30 weather permitting.
