The lure of an elusive gold medal has Gemma McCaw willing to juggle

The lure of an elusive gold medal has Gemma McCaw willing to juggle

The former women's Black Sticks striker will play for her hometown team of Midlands in this year's national hockey league.

McCaw hasn't worn the black singlet since New Zealand's fourth placed finish at the 2016 Rio Olympics, while she retired from the sport in 2017.

While she knows it'll be tough getting to a fourth Games in Tokyo next year, McCaw says she only has to look at her old captain for inspiration of how to come back after giving birth.
