Psychologists have voted to take industrial action next month

Psychologists have voted to take industrial action next month

Staff across 16 DHBs who didn't settle their collective agreement with DHBs - won't accept new patients or do group work with patients for four weeks from September 3.

It'll start as they wrap up an overtime ban that began on July 31.

APEX union national secretary Dr Deborah Powell says nothing on the negotiating table is attractive enough to keep people in the profession.

She says the Government need to green-light the DHBs to spend 13.8-million-dollars allocated to improving issues in the sector.
