Principals blame poor communication for lockdown woes during the mosque attacks in Christchurch

A KPMG report has raised a number of issues about how Christchurch schools handled the lockdown period.
It found many schools believed a call from police about the attacks was a hoax - and some parents were aggressive to staff during the lockdown.
Canterbury Primary Principals' Association chair and Wairakei School principal Shane Buckner - says most schools did really well in a totally unexpected situation.
He says steps are already being taken towards improving the processes for lockdowns.
