A Christchurch man is facing jail-time ... for using a stapler to close his dog's wounds

Jordayne Beaumont-Brown's Christchurch High Court sentence includes not having companion animals for two years.
Beaumont-Brown pleaded guilty to two charges of not seeking vet care for his two dogs, in 2017.
SPCA inspectors found one of his dogs lame and lethargic.
They say Beaumont-Browne stapled the dog's deep pig hunting wounds closed - so deeply, it affected underlying muscle.
The second dog had a large, infected nose wound.
