Commercial fishing's being blamed for boaties catching fewer snapper in the Hauraki Gulf

An MPI survey shows the recreational snapper catch has been trending down since the last survey in 2012.
Recreational Fishing Council President Keith Ingram says commercial fishers are allowed to take snapper five centimetres smaller than the casual fishers can.
He says many argue they're conserving fish just for the commercial operations to take.
