The outbreak of African swine fever has helped lift food prices

The cost of meat and veg pushed overall food costs up 0.7-percent in the past month.
Tomatoes have gone up almost 50-percent, and bacon increased 11-percent to a new record high, because of the worldwide shortage of pork.
Beef mince also reached a record high on the back of increased demand from China.
Food's risen 2.1-percent in the past year, with meat, poultry and fish going up eight-percent.
