There have been 1327 cases in New Zealand so far this year, with 1108 in Auckland.
Auckland Medical Officer of Health Dr William Rainger says the newly landed vaccines are going through quality assurance.
He says 52,000 vaccines prioritised to maintain the childhood immunisation schedule will last three months.
Rainger says any remaining supplies will be used to interrupt the spread in Auckland.
