The country's big power companies are being told by the Government to sell to retailers at affordable rates

If they don't they'll face regulation from a Government that's the majority shareholder.
Energy Minister Megan Woods says they'll no longer impose hidden late payment fees on electricity bills.
She says that will save consumers 45 million dollars.
Woods says the market's being changed to level the playing field for independent retailers which will boost competition.
She says it'll make it easier to shop around to get bett6er deals on electricity.
