    American Joe Kovacs has heaved 22.91 metres, the third-equal farthest throw in history, one centimetre beyond what Walsh achieved with his first attempt.

    Ryan Crouser also threw 22.90m to push Walsh behind on count back.

    Jacko Gill's finished seventh after throwing 21.45 metres.

    On the track, Camille Buscomb has come 12th in the 5000 metres, setting a personal best 14 minutes 58.59 seconds - she's already qualified for the Tokyo Olympics.
