Women MPs are today celebrating a hundred years since women were allowed to stand for Parliament
22 October 2019
It took 14 years before a woman was elected.
Since then, the Prime Minister told Parliament, women have made a significant contribution.
Jacinda Ardern says it means women can be who they want to be.
Speaking from experience, Ardern says they can be a mother and many other things - including a partner and an advocate.
She says boys, if they choose, can be Prime Minister, too.
