A Christchurch teen has been arrested over a series of alleged jewel thefts from Christchurch and Wellington stores

19-year-old Anaru Tyson Dry, is accused of being behind thefts over a three-week period that police say total more than 200-thousand-dollars .
They include a pendant and gold chain valued at six and a half thousand dollars ... with all items from Michael Hill and Stewart Dawson stores.
The teen was given a registrar's remand in the Christchurch District Court this morning, without having to appear before a judge.
He was granted bail and will appear in court in mid-November.
