Advocates say there are fundamental issues with trying sexual abuse cases through an adversarial court system

A Ministry of Justice report says there are barriers to prosecution and conviction - with fewer than a third of reported sexual violence cases making it to court, and about a tenth ending in convictions.
HELP executive director Kathryn McPhillips says the argument in court is often reduced to attacks on credibility.
She says the process should be about establishing truth, rather than undermining either side.
