The winning tickets were sold at Pak N Save Papamoa and Fresh Choice Papamoa in Papamoa and at Richmond Night N Day in Nelson.
They each take home 333-thousand dollars.
Powerball was not struck and has rolled over to Wednesday night, where the jackpot will be $9 million.
Meanwhile, Strike Four was also won tonight by a player from Huntly, who took home $300,000.
That winning ticket was sold at The Bookshop and Lotto in Huntly.
