Contractors are preparing to fix some of the damage on the West Coast, caused by ongoing heavy rain

The townships of Haast, Fox Glacier and Franz Josef have all been cut off after part of a bridge on State Highway 6 near Te Taho collapsed over night.
Fox has also had its power knocked out.
Several severe weather warnings still in place.
But West Coast Civil Defence Emergency Management Group's Simon Bastion says things are looking up.
He says the weather's expected to pass through this evening and then the big clean up begins.
