    Police are on the hunt for a man who seriously assaulted a woman in Wellington yesterday


    Emergency Services found the woman with stab wounds in Central Park, Brooklyn around 11.45 yesterday morning.

    She was taken to hospital with serious injuries, and has since been released.

    The offender is described as a man in his 30s, between 173 and 176 centimetres tall (about 5'9") with brown skin, dark eyes and short hair.

    Police are urging people to contact them if they have more information.
