    The best one yet.

That's how Peter Burling and Blair Tuke rate their fifth 49er sailing world championship crown.

The Olympic champions have claimed the title in Auckland after finishing fourth in the medal race, with their only likely challengers, Germany, crossing in third.

Burling and Tuke had an eight point buffer heading into the double points event.

Fellow-New Zealanders Logan Dunning-Beck and Oscar Gunn crossed second, to move up to fifth overall.

Alex Maloney and Molly Meech have finished seventh in the 49erFX to claim sixth overall.

Olivia Mackay and Jason Saunders finished the best of the New Zealanders in the Nacra17 in 17th.

The Auckland Tuatara have created their own piece of franchise history with their 4-2 victory over the Canberra Cavalry in the Australian Baseball League.

The game four win saw the Tuatara notch up a maiden series triumph at home by winning three of their four encounters.
