The fast bowler has been called into the Black Caps squad for the remaining two tests against Australia as a replacement for Lockie Ferguson.

Jamieson's Auckland teammate has been ruled out for up to six weeks with a calf strain.

Jamieson is in the Garden City as he had been preparing to play for the Aces against the Kings in the domestic Twenty20 competition.

He boasts 72 wickets in the Plunket Shield at an average of 27.9, and has regularly been part of the New Zealand A program.
