No surprises from a report into the failings at EQC.

No surprises from a report into the failings at EQC.

The Government has released findings from the Public Inquiry into the Earthquake Commission, chaired by Dame Silvia Cartwright.

It highlights issues with repairs - and quality assurances - and includes people's views on how to improve the EQC process.

Greater Christchurch Regeneration Minister Megan Woods says we've heard so many of these stories since the earthquakes - but to see them all bound in one document is shattering.

She says it's an important record - that will go some way to ensuring mistakes don't happen again.
