A Lufthansa A-380 aircraft carrying stranded Germans home has done a flyby over the Waitemata Harbour and greater Auckland at 10 this morning.
There have been 16 repatriation flights since last Saturday, with a range of carriers carrying six thousand-700 passengers home.
Auckland Airport spokesman Scott Tasker says it's an emotional time, and he's proud of frontline staff who've done so much to help travellers who've been stuck here.
