The impact of level three on consumer spending across the country has been laid bare with the release of latest figures for the week ending May 4

The biggest drop is in Queenstown Lakes where spending is down 87.1 percent year on year.
That's followed by the Waitemata and Upper Harbour regions in Auckland which are down 80.2 and 77.2 respectively.
The businesses affected most are bricks and mortar retail, service-based retail, tourism and hospitality.
Income for hotels and motels is down more than 90 per cent in most regions compared with last year.
