Rotorua's Mayor is praising the Government economic response to Covid-19

The Finance Minister has announced a 400 million dollar Tourism Recovery Fund.

A third of Rotorua's population works in the tourism, hospitality or accommodation sector.

Steve Chadwick says it's unknown how badly her city will be affected.

She says they'll have to wait eight weeks to see what happens - but she's glad to know there is money being held back if the sector remains wobbly.
