The A-League is set down for a July 16 restart but the Phoenix have no idea when they will be cleared to enter, as other clubs return to training today.
Phoenix boss David Dome says once they get the go-ahead, they still need to book flights, complete Covid-19 testing and then, finally start training which could be a week away.
David Dome says they are now looking at a response late tomorrow.
A Football Federation Australia spokesperson says they are working through a complex process with government to grant the Phoenix an exemption and move them to a private training facility.
They say given they are dealing with public health the matter is neither straightforward nor can it be rushed.
