The Australian airline says it will axe at least six-thousand jobs, and stand down 15-thousand employees.
At least 100 aircraft will be grounded for up to 12 months -- and it will reduce 15-billion in costs over the next three years.
CEO Alan Joyce says they are in the middle of the biggest crisis the aviation industry has faced.
He says IATA --the peak body for airlines -- is projecting it will more than take three years for global travel to return to 2019 levels.
