    The Government is being praised for its work to stop waste from getting into the environment


    It announced products such as plastic packaging, tyres and e-waste will be declared 'priority products' and a regulated product stewardship will be enforced.

    3R Group, an environmental health service, chief executive Adele Rose says this scheme will help prevent harmful waste ending up in landfills.

    She says one of the main reasons people dump products is because they don't want to pay to get rid of it, but with a stewardship programme there wouldn't be a cost.
