New Zealand Rugby could lose half a million dollars in net profit, if the North South game is cancelled

The match has been pushed back to September 5th, after NZR failed to secure exemptions to Covid-19 restrictions for Auckland-based players to assemble in the Capital on Monday.
A decision on where the match will be played will be made following the Government's next announcement on Monday.
But NZR's general manager professional rugby and performance Chris Lendrum concedes it could be called off.
He says that would cost them similar to what it did for the Blues-Crusaders Super Rugby Aotearoa game when that was canned.
