6 November 2020
They died after a tree fell and hit two vehicles south of Waikouaiti.
A Transport Agency spokesperson says the tree's collapse is unrelated to tree removal work it was doing earlier in the week.
It says there were high winds at the time of the crash - and this and other details will be covered in the police investigation.
