11 November 2020
About 8.30am, police were alerted a man in a vehicle had seemingly showed a firearm to another motorist near Constellation Drive in Albany.
The Eagle helicopter monitored the vehicle as it travelled south on the motorway, and police stopped it with spikes at the Takanini exit.
Officers searched the vehicle but found no firearm, but the driver admitted the road rage incident.
Police believe another object in his hand was mistaken for a firearm.
They say enquiries are ongoing.
