The 45-year-old, who has continued name suppression, appeared in the Christchurch District Court today.
He faces 10 charges, including assault with intent to commit rape on a female over 16, burglary, and impeding blood circulation.
His lawyer successfully argued for continued name suppression because of extreme hardship relating to mental health.
He will next appear in the Christchurch District Court on December 14.
