Joseph McGirr earlier pleaded not guilty before a jury trial began at Christchurch District Court this morning.
Today, McGirr admitted a charge of cultivating cannabis.
The 39-year-old was arrested after Biddle's sudden death, at a small gathering in October 2018.
He was charged with supplying the 22-year-old the Class-B controlled drug, and attempting to pervert the course of justice by hiding her clothing after her death.
