The 18-thousand hectare Halfway Bay Station has seven kilometres of shoreline along the lake, as well as mountains, rivers, and native bush.
Sotheby's agent Russell Reddell says returning Kiwis, expats and international investors are potential buyers.
He says offers of more than 50-million dollars are expected, based on other property sales, its scarcity value, and location near Queenstown.
Reddell says the deadline won't close until March so overseas buyers can hopefully see the property.
