27 year old Wiremu Arapo was found dead and two others were injured.
An enquiry into the circumstances of Wiremu Arapo's death - and a post mortem examination - guided police's decision to treat the death as a homicide.
Acting Detective Senior Sergeant Craig Bolton says he strongly believes there are people who know what happened the night of the fire.
He is urging them to come forward.
