Over the past three weeks, Police have stopped nearly 21-thousand vehicles at alcohol checkpoints.
Senior Sergeant Jono Chappell says they've had to summons 121 people to court - and it's concerning and disappointing.
He says more alcohol's drunk over the holiday period - but drivers need to be responsible.
Chappell says 2020's been a tough year and the last thing Police want to do this holiday period is knock on your door to tell you a loved one's dead or injured from a crash.
