The right support is critical to helping friends and family achieve their New Year's resolution to quit smoking

Almost 26-thousand smokers reached out to Quitline for help in the year to the end of June - and nearly 30 per cent of them were smoke-free after four weeks.
Despite this, close to half a million people still smoke every day.
Homecare Medical's Dr Siale Foliaki says positivity is key - and we should celebrate people's decision to quit.
He says we should avoid telling people they should give up.
