The green light has been given for Eden Park to host six concerts a year

Commissioners have ruled shows can go ahead any day except a Sunday, unless it's followed by a public holiday.

But there'll be restrictions on how often they can be held, how long for and on timing - as well as noise and lighting.

The stadium has faced push back from some residents who don't want concerts in their backyard.

But Auckland Councillor Daniel Newman says the conditions show those submissions were fairly considered.

He says it'll be up to the Eden Trust Board to cooperate with residents to make it work...but it's a balanced outcome.
