Florence Pugh has defended Bella Thorne against “bullies” on her Instagram page

The 25-year-old actress has leapt to the defence of the ‘Famous in Love’ star, after she left a comment on one of Florence’s Instagram posts and was immediately met with negative responses from some of Florence’s fans

Florence had uploaded a video of herself cooking a meal that consisted of a mild chilli tomato sauced ravioli with a white wine, butter and herb poached lobster filling, and Bella commented on the clip: “Omg please come over and make food (sic)”

But when some fans of the ‘Little Women’ star began to criticise Bella, Florence immediately told them to back off.

She wrote: “@bellathorne to all those negatively trashing Bella, I do not appreciate it or like seeing people being unnecessarily dragged on my page. My page has NEVER been about that and I don’t like seeing it. I always appreciate your love but not at the cost of bullying someone else. Enjoy the ravioli! (sic)”

Florence isn’t shy when it comes to defending her loved ones online, as she previously hit out at those who criticised her relationship with Zach Braff, who is 21 years older than her.

The ‘Midsommar’ star said: “I’ve always found it funny, how I can be good enough for people to watch my work and support my work and pay for tickets and I’m old enough to be an adult and pay taxes but I’m not old enough to know who I should and should not have sex with.

“Once again making a young woman feel like s*** for no reason.”

Florence also said she struggled with “admitting” how bad the negativity makes her feel, but has since realised it’s “ridiculous” for strangers to comment on who she chooses to date.

She added: “I think I did feel s**t for a while about admitting that. Then I thought how ridiculous is that? I’m 24 and I can’t choose who I love.

“People just want to have a say on who you go out with, where you go for lunch. For me, I’ve always found that part of this life, even when I grew up watching actresses, I’ve always found that weird how people have a say over your private life.

“I’m not a reality TV star, I don’t let people into my life like that so since when has it been OK for someone to shout at someone for their relationship?”
