Manchester City's defence has taken them within striking distance of the English Premier League lead

Manchester City's defence has taken them within striking distance of the English Premier League lead

They've beaten Crystal Palace 4-nil to move two points behind Manchester United at the top, with a game in hand.

It's a fourth consecutive clean sheet for City.

Centre-back John Stones scored two goals and says plaudits are due across the park.

Liverpool have failed to score for a third consecutive outing and drop to fourth after a nil-all draw with Manchester United.
