New Zealand kids' maths results have stayed stagnant - while other countries have zoomed ahead

An expert panel's been called in to improve students' math results and shake up the curriculum.
The latest Trends in International Mathematic and Science survey found Kiwi students' maths knowledge in the first year of high school, was below all other English speaking countries.
Massey University mathematics professor Bobbie Hunter says we're still achieving at the same level as 20 years ago.
She says students haven't gone backwards - every other country has jumped over us.
