The latest jobless numbers have dropped despite the ongoing impacts from covid-19

The Unemployment rate has fallen to 4.9 per cent -- down from 5.3 per cent in the September Quarter.
It's now returned to a rate observed over three years ago.
NZ Herald Business Editor Liam Dann says it could be that people are finding work because they're taking any job they can find during the pandemic.
He says both businesses and individuals have been adaptable throughout the whole covid crisis -- and New Zealand has also been in a good position with a low number of lockdowns.
