New Zealand's economy looks to have dodged a Covid-19 bullet

New Infometrics data shows the latest unemployment figures have fallen from 5.3 to 4.9 percent.
Chief Forecaster Gareth Kiernan says they predict annual economic growth to accelerate to 4.6 per cent in the second half of the year.
He says one of the key factors behind the improved growth outlook is the rampant housing market and its flow-on effects on construction activity.
