Severe stress for parents of children with autism - with not nearly enough support

An AUT study has found most parents had serious mental health issues linked to stress, and two thirds met the threshold for clinical intervention.
Autism New Zealand CEO Dane Dougan says the system is geared towards the child's needs, but their caregivers need more help.
He says more people are getting diagnosed so there's more awareness, but support hasn't increased.
