    South Canterbury's Lauren Bruce has cleared the Olympic qualifying mark for the women's hammer throw at the Porritt's Classic in Hamilton


    She's thrown 73.22 metres, with the qualifying mark 72.5

    Commonwealth Games gold medallist Julia Ratcliffe's managed 71.39.
