English clubs are objecting to a plan to extend the next men's Rugby World Cup by a week to allow for more even spreading of pool games

The Daily Mail reports the World Cup board met last week and agreed the 2023 tournament in France will now wrap up on October 28th, a week later than initially planned.
That will allow all teams during pool play to have a minimum of five days between games, following pleas from players associations worldwide.
Squad sizes would also be increased from 31 to 33.
But, the Daily Mail reports the idea has been met with fury from Premiership clubs who say they haven't been consulted over the decision and would expect time to consider it properly.
The decision is due to be ratified next week.
Premiership clubs have also pushed back against Lions tour schedules and release dates for players previously.
