Economic uncertainty due to Covid-19 means the Official Cash Rate remains unchanged

It's stayed put at 0.25 per cent, where it's been since March last year.
The Reserve Bank says New Zealand's economy has picked up and global vaccination programmes are positive for not only future health, but also economic activity.
But, Governor Adrian Orr says things are still up in the air.
He says the ongoing uncertainty will strain business investment and house hold spending growth.
The central bank's funding for lending and large scale asset purchase programme are also unchanged.
