Some relief from yard congestion at Port of Tauranga
Some relief from yard congestion at Port of Tauranga
26 February 2021
The port's reporting improved profits for the second half of last year -- despite disruption to its volumes and operations.
Chief executive Mark Cairns says since January 1, shippers who don't remove their containers after ten days get charged -- which has helped congestion.

Meanwhile, Ports of Auckland says they're seeing improvements to delays and expect to return to pre-Covid levels by mid-April.
