New research is suggesting the recent property boom has hit Wellington first-home buyers the hardest

OneRoof has calculated that deposit requirements grew by 28-thousand dollars to 153-thousand dollars for New Zealand in the last 12 months.
Editor Owen Vaughan says getting a deposit on a property in the capital has skyrocketed, due to the post-lockdown surge.
He says there's now an extra 43-thousand dollars first home buyers in Wellington have to find.
