But Director-General of Health Ashley Bloomfield says there are no plans for a mass roll-out.
He says New Zealand's not in a situation of widespread community infection - so we're using our best test to screen whether Kiwis have the virus.
Bloomfield says we have good nasal testing capacity - which is the most sensitive check.
