A Maori language advocate is praising the Broadcasting Standards Authority, for rejecting any more complaints about the use of te reo Maori

The watchdog will no longer hear any more complaints about Maori language being used in the media.
It's faced a spike of such complaints in recent years - including 27 since June last year.
Maori broadcaster and Maori language advocate Stacey Morrison says it's great to see them putting a stake in the ground on the issue.
She says for 40 years Te Reo Maori has been an official language of this country, and if we have to keep justifying its use, we won't be able to let it grow.
